The city of Kamloops plants some wonderfully fragrant trees in the city parks .  The Japanese Lilac and the northern Catapla.

Kamloops has a beach volleyball venue!  Who knew? There was no one playing when we were there but there were three courts available.

The Overlanders or the blue bridge as the locals call it.  Walked out onto the bike path and took a picture upriver.   I have probably driven over it thousands of times in the last 36 years.

The North  Thompson River  and views of Mount  Peter and Mount Paul on the evening of the summer solstice.

Out for supper tonight....back to work tomorrow.
Went to a great Italian restaurant in downtown Kamloops.  My sister and her husband like to eat here when they visit as well.

More playground pictures...we did have a bit of fun there.  Fortunately we found no ticks when we checked once we got home.

Kids and adults playing at the Dick Hart Memorial Park.  There were some unique structures there.

Dick  Hart Memorial Park, Heffley Creek.
Years ago there was an actual log fort here but only one building left now.
The playground is unique though and my grandchildren had a great time playing.
There is a ball diamond here as well as lots of campsites.

Knouff Lake Resort.   A beautiful fishing lake with five small islands only a fifty minute drive from Kamloops. I booked a cabin there for the family in August and can't wait to go.

Beekeeping at McLure. One hive holds about 30,000 bees.  They drink water out of the bird bath....who knew?🐝

Flood warnings for the Thompson River. The city has blocked the storm drains with dirt (mostly in plastic bags) to stop the water from coming out.  A drive out to Tranquille showed a field covered in water.
