Porteau Cove Provincial Park on Howe Sound.
Famous for divers as there are sunken wrecks and artificial reefs.
Also a dock where the ferry used to stop.

This is where they dive. The buoys mark the reefs.

Went to Lion's Bay today and saw the gathering of the canoes...a celebration of Canada's 150th birthday. 15 canoes representing different areas and organizations. The trip was from the Sunshine Coast to Squamish and then to Vancouver.

Squamish-Lilwat. Cultural Centre in Whistler.
The Squamish nation is from North Vancouver Nort.h to Whistler.
The Lilwat from Whistler to Pemberton and Mt . Currie.  A wonderful tour led by an eloquent young Lilwat woman. The most important lesson about showing respect, asking permission and giving thanks for the trees, animals and all given by the Creator.

We had to leave Kamloops due to the smoke from the wildfires burning to the west. Squamish is a great place to retreat to.  A few pictures from  Lily's Garden near the Squamish Adventure Centre.

The tide was out.

 My mom's favorite. Tiger Lilies.

Enjoyed a visit on Canada Day to see the logging trucks at Lebeau logging.  It's pretty interesting hearing the drivers talk about their trucks and their plans for enhanced lighting ,etc. Of course the trucks were cleaned and shiny.

So shiny I can see my reflection.
