Also know as Royal Roads was previously a private residence, a military college and now a university.  Luck students who get to go to university here.

Lakes around Victoria

We walked on the paths a day boardwalks at two lakes.  So nice to have easily accessible walking areas.

Royal Provincial Museum of BC

Walked around for a few hours but more time needed to see all the exhibits. The Egyptian collection was great and is there til December.  The section about Canada's indigenous people was very good especially about all the different languages spoken.

Legislative Assembly of British Columbia

Visited with friends and family. Very beautiful place with stained glass windows and decorative murals and  mouldings.  "Splendor Sine Occasu"

Fisherman's Wharf Victoria

What a delightful place....floating homes, small businesses,  restaurants and fishing boats. Our walk on the boardwalk was great.

A Walk to Thetis Lake

What a gem. ...only a few  blocks from our friend's place.  A great place for a walk after supper.

on the ferry...tsawwassen to swartz bay

Great day for a ride on the ferry. So sunny and clear. I found it quite interesting to see how the life rafts are stored now.
